Waterborne adhesives are a logical choice for many end use applications where versatile and environmentally friendly solutions are desired. These low VOC (volatile organic compounds) adhesives are easily formulated to optimize performance for a wide variety of applications where water clean-up is important. Fundamental knowledge of formulating and use of this adhesive class will help you to select, design, apply and trouble shoot your adhesive package and ultimately add to your bottom line. This course reviews the base polymers used in waterborne adhesives today and how to formulate with additives for specific applications. You will learn common methods of application as well as mechanical and rheological behavior of the adhesive before and after bonding.
