Dr. Robert Peoples is an internationally recognized speaker in the areas of green chemistry, sustainability, standards, interdisciplinary innovation, and carpet reclamation. As a veteran of the chemical industry, he has served as the Director of the Green Chemistry Institute in Washington, D.C. Prior positions held include Sustainability Director for the Carpet & Rug Institute and the founding Executive Director of The Carpet America Recovery Effort (CARE), where he is now devoting his efforts to implement market-based solutions for the reuse and recycle of post-consumer carpeting and tiles. He is also the founder and President of the Environmental Impact Group, Inc. and has served as an Editorial Advisor to the new ACS journal, "Sustainable Chemistry and Engineering
